Book Review: Gurdjieff for a Time Between Worlds by Layman Pascal

Gurdjieff for a Time Between Worlds: Hyperpersonal Essays on the Grandfather of Metamodern Spirituality by Layman Pascal offers a smorgasbord of personal reflections on the life and work of G. I. Gurdjieff. While I must confess having very little acquaintance with Gurdjieff—other than having heard on occasion that Gurdjieff made use of the enneagram symbol—I found the reflections to be intriguing. “Accessible” might be too strong a word, but for the intrepid reader willing to explore new perspectives and interrogate their own inner world, these reflections will tease out surprising new ideas and perhaps even new ways of being in the world.
